Richard Bush is a self-taught photographer. He grew up in London and studied French Literature at King’s College.

His first published work was in Creative Review in December 1999. He was selected to be part of their Creative Futures exhibition where he met renowned make up artist Val Garland and this relationship was his first step into the fashion industry.

Richard’s first major fashion shoot was for i-D magazine and his freelance career was launched via this iconic title and he went onto shoot for major publications from Another magazine to British and US Vogue.

Richard developed his own unique approach to photography using 10×8 as his primary format, creating powerful and iconic fashion portraiture both in the studio and on location. His first major campaign was for Yohji Yamamoto and he went on to collaborate with luxury brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Cavalli, Cartier and H&M to name a few.

Richard continues to collaborate with leading luxury brands and iconic publications through his exhaustive and unique creative process.
